ADAPTIVE FREE RUNNER TRANING CENTER
The ADAPTIVE FREE RUNNER TRANING CENTER is a training structure for free runners consists of easy-to-assemble materials that features a moveable, “active” roof, and underwater living areas. It also incorporates complex training grounds, including a top floor pool around them.
Free running is a form of urban acrobatics in which participants; also known as free runners, use urban and rural landscapes to perform movements over and across those structures. It incorporates efficient movements from parkour, with gymnastic vaults and other acrobatics, such as tricking and street stunts, which create an athletic and aesthetically pleasing way of moving. Based on the specialized movements and unique needs that free runners demand, I have designed this incorporated structure, which I have named the “Unlimpossible.” It is an invented word, which combines the words “unlimited” and “impossible”. “Unlimpossible” defines the characteristics of free running with several special features. For example, the building can change its height in order to enable the free runners to jump as high as they want. The roof can also be moved and opened automatically, according to light sensitivity. Solar devices on the roof help to save on electrical costs by running the designed programs automatically. Because the building, “Unlimpossible” is built of semi-finished materials, it can be assembled and removed easily. Designed within the building is a community kitchen area. Other living areas to accommodate a group of free runners are located below the water line of the pier on which the structure sits. Incorporated around the building is a training ground. The features combined make the “Unlimpossible” to be a perfectly incorporated training structure for free runners.
